Transparency & Governance

Building a Foundation of Trust, Accountability, and Partnership.

Our Commitment to Families

We understand that choosing a school is a significant investment of trust. Roots & Wings Christian Academy was founded on the belief that leadership should be collaborative, finances should be transparent, and families should have a clear voice.

We are officially organized as a nonprofit corporation in the state of Nebraska, operating exclusively for charitable, religious, and educational purposes under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Financial Transparency: The one thing we will always promise regarding tuition is transparency. You will always know where your money is going, and you can feel confident that resources are being used wisely to directly benefit our students.

The Parent Partnership

We don't see parents as passive participants—we see you as partners. The hybrid model gives you the space to add what matters most to your family.

The Thursday Enrichment Day: Thursdays are designed to expand learning beyond traditional academics through hands-on experiences, creative exploration, and real-world skills. While parent participation on Thursdays is highly encouraged to help build our incredible community, it is not required, allowing you the flexibility your family needs.

Board of Directors

Roots & Wings is governed by an active Board of Directors rather than a single owner. All authority and management of the Academy rests with the Board, ensuring accountability and shared vision.

Our interim founding school board is guiding the launch of the school, establishing carefully developed policies and procedures. We look forward to transitioning to an elected school board in the future as our community grows.

Parent-Led Committees

This school isn't about one or two people—it's about building something strong, together. We are actively forming several committees to help guide the school and invite our families to bring their unique gifts to the table:

  • Curriculum Committee: Dedicated to researching and selecting the highest quality educational materials that fit our philosophy.
  • Fundraising Committee: Ensuring the long-term sustainability and growth of our programs.
  • Prayer Committee: Keeping our school, students, and leadership consistently covered in prayer.
  • Community & Enrichment Committees: Planning field trips, hands-on Thursday activities, and events that bring our families together.
